To celebrate Global Entrepreneur week, (GEW) being hosted at www.gew.org.uk, we wanted to introduce you to one of our favourite entrepreneurs, Tony Pearce.

Together with Nick Alexander, Tony is one half of the brainchild behind GamesGRABR – one of the newest and most innovative social networking sites that we have seen in a long while.  Aimed at the growing market of online gamers, gamesGRABR provides users with a way to share and play games with just one click of the mouse as well as to meet with and chat to other gamers.

gamesGRABR has been taking the online gaming world by storm since its inception earlier this year.  Technology giant website Mashable included it in its top 25 UK tech startups of 2013 and for good reason.  With over 200,000 unique users and a huge amount of traffic and sharing on the site, they are well on their way to achieving their plans to be the Facebook for gamers.  gamesGRABR has also been shortlisted for an ME Award for “best social games service provider” as well as MEF award for Best Discovery and Engagement Company.  With such accolades on both sides of the Atlantic it is clear that Tony and Nick are onto a winning business model.

When you sign up for an account with gamesGRABR you are making Internet history as you become part of a huge group of people who share your taste in online games.  Your home page (GRABFEED) is a collection of images personalized just for you that is based on your likes and the games / people you are following. You can grab images from anywhere on the Internet to add to your GRABFEED as well as uploading images from your PC or Facebook.
