Global Hip Hop Film US Premiere & International Screening Tour Shot in eight cities—Tokyo, Havana, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Rio de Janeiro and Johannesburg—over a span of four years, “Hip Hop: The New World Order” unearths the practice and business of hip hop culture worldwide. The first documentary produced on global hip hop, the film has mushroomed into a rare archive and video survey of pioneering artists and communities at the turn of the 21st century featuring international all-stars includingQuestlove (The Roots), dead prez, Method man, Marcelo D2 (Brazil), Roots Manuva (UK), Oxmo Puccino (France), and DJ Muro (Japan). As a work in progress, Hip Hop: The New World Order has been included in courses at Harvard and The New School.  The final version has been long awaited and will finally be available for VOD, digital download and DVD. The film, directed by Brooklyn filmmaker and brand strategist, Muhammida El Muhajir, will make its US premiere at The BlackStar Film Festival on August 3rd in Philadelphia, followed by a private screening in NYC which will kickoff the international screening tour with events in Europe, Africa, Japan, & Brazil to promote the release.
