Substituting Sharpton for Jackson: History as a Guide ©

There were dual school systems in the South in 1954. Nationwide, whites were in charge of education. In 2013, the trend is toward "mayoral control of schools" and not "community control of schools". This means disenfranchisement of Blacks. Now, Blacks must also confront Shelby County v. Holder. Blacks have never enjoyed the right of representation.
The Voting Rights Act of 1965 has never been an electoral panacea. For years, I have been standing alone in pointing out that this "remedial" legislation was a "bill of goods" and not a "bill of rights". Before an ethnic group should embrace remedial legislation, someone should vet its legislative history. This should have been the role of Black lawyers if Blacks were to enjoy political representation.
If Blacks had enjoyed legal and political representation, someone should have sued the prosecution in Florida v. Zimmerman for legal malpractice. The defense and the prosecution are guilty of conspiracy. A criminal prosecution for murder is not for the benefit of the deceased or his or her family. It has been for the benefit of whites.
When criminal prosecutions commenced in the United States, Blacks were disenfranchised. Criminal prosecutions against Blacks were only for the benefit of whites. A white defendant, on the other hand, was entitled to a jury of one's peers. In Seminole County, FL, George Zimmerman will benefit from a jury of his peers. The late Trayvon Martin will not be represented on this jury. Zimmerman was his judge, jury and executioner. The pool of jurors and jury selection were wittingly stacked against Martin.
I have always said that a jury trial is over after pre-trial maneuverings, jury selection and opening statements in Florida v. Zimmerman. Black leaders were asleep at the switch until after opening statements. They woke up in time to prepare for a "pacification program" after the biased jury acquitted Zimmerman.
Before the trial of Florida v. Zimmerman commenced, Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson went to Florida to warn Blacks not to boycott or engage in any acts of civil disobedience regarding the murder of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman. These men are supposed to respect Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. as a spiritual mentor. Their announcements in Florida sealed the quest for justice for Trayvon Martin and acquitted George Zimmerman.
Personally, I had hoped that history would not repeat itself. "Those who fail to learn from the lessons of history are condemned to repeat them". This is why history is not taught to Black children. Our children are rudderless. This is intentional and it constitutes mentacide. Black parents are clueless and they are opposed to social, economic and political power.
In addition to history, philosophy, logic and ethics should be added to the curriculum. I am talking about a comprehensive, historical knowledge of such disciplines as language, culture and mathematics. In a racist "society", like the United States, knowledge of survival skills is also essential. With a proper education, Black-on-Black crime will drop precipitously.
This is the challenge of the Freedom Party for municipal elections in New York City in 2013. The elections in New York City should follow the municipal elections in Jackson, MS. For the voters of Jackson, attorney Chokwe Lumumba, who became the mayor of Mississippi's state capital, advocated "Garveyism", which will replace self-hatred.
White supremacy has a modus operandi which determines the life expectancy of Black activists. Malcolm X and Dr Martin L. King, Jr. were both assassinated at the age of thirty-nine. See also Medgar Evers who was assassinated twenty days short of his thirty-eighth birthday. The age of a Black activist determines his or her true colors. The government usually delivers a substantial below to a Black activist before he or she reaches the age of forty.
I was always a legal thorn in New York's side. In 1984, New York slapped my name on a criminal complaint and arranged that I would "go down" after a kangaroo trial. The jury, however, engaged in jury nullification and I miraculously survived the hangman's noose. When New York commenced this criminal prosecution against me on July 11, 1984, I was only ten days from celebrating my thirty-ninth birthday on July 21. Six years later, New York would "bar" me from all courts.
On October 3, 2013, Rev. Al Sharpton will be fifty-nine years of age. Rev. Jesse Jackson, who was also born in October is much older than Rev. Al Sharpton. Whites have a retirement system for Black sycophants. This explains why Rev. Sharpton replaced Rev. Jackson. Black activists, on the other hand, have no retirement system. "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail". This applies to Black activists.
Rev. Jackson heads the Wall Street Initiative. This means that billionaires give him his "stipend" every January. OPERATION PUSH and the Rainbow Coalition are "fronts". Rev. Sharpton heads the Madison Avenue Initiative whose sponsors include advertising and communications interests. He receives his annual stipend in April. National Action Network is his "front".
All elders, who are not activists, should be retired to "mothballs". Any success that Blacks achieve will be based on a gerontocracy. Youth have energy. Elders have wisdom. There must be a symbiotic relationship. Black youth will earn wisdom. Black "elders" will trade in energy for wisdom. The battlefield is no place for elders.
Both Sharpton and Jackson are not the smartest persons of African ancestry in the United States today. They are also not at the top of the heap in their commitment to persons of African ancestry. Stated differently, they do not mirror Dr. King but they are talented men who put themselves and white billionaires before the interests of Blacks.See Florida v. Zimmerman.
